Costa Esmeralda

It’s a 10 kilometer stretch of beautiful coastline with some of the best scenery and beautiful architecture in the region, where the main town, Porto Cervo has a long heritage of idyllic structures and rich history. There are a number of little bars in the area which sell coffee in the shopping arcade at the main shopping center in Porto Cervo. When you’re done sipping your coffee, you can go check out the mega yachts anchored offshore.
Tavolara
Tavolara is a protected island still in Sardinia, and it has a rich Mediterranean setting complete with beautiful beaches, bays and peninsula. This Tavolara limestone is a plateau which sits at 600 meters high and not less than 4 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide. It looks quite like a huge table sitting above the water. It has high cliffs which go deep into the water which makes it look even more appealing. There are some nice little restaurants on the island and they have the freshest sea food on their menu.
If you visit sometime in July, you may attend a famous event at the Cinema Tavolara where a series of films are aired for three consecutive nights celebrating the beauty and originality of Tavolara under the beauty of a starry night.
Cagliari´s Old Town
To enjoy a nice atmospheric part of Sardinia in the south, girded alleys and huge walls, go to Cagliari. It is the place to be. It is a very historic area with rich culture, good food and late night drinks. If you fancy a night out in the cosmopolitan side of Sardinia then you’d really enjoy raving in this district where restaurants are plenty and you can never go out of places to check into.
Cala Gonone
This is an interesting town at the base of the mountains, which a while back was only accessible by boat. A
tunnel was curved through the mountains which now connects Cala Gonone to Dorgali in Eastern Sardinia. Cala Gonone is a place of unexplored beauty and archeological wonders starting with the mountains and the beauty they possess. Apart from the mountains there are also lovely beaches with a lot to offer in scenery and prestige. Cala Luna is one of the famous beaches in this area and beautiful the sandy shores can all be enjoyed either with fellow visitors or in seclusion if preferred.
Alghero
Alghero lies in the northwest of Sardinia. It is an old historic place which was colonized by the Spanish and as result the locals there speak Spanish plus there’s also a lot of Spanish heritage in the area as can be seen in the architecture and designs. The town center epitomizes that Gothic time in Barcelona and has a lot of old buildings which are reminiscent of their colonial time. On recent times they have built numerous bars and restaurants in that area too.
Alghero has a reputation for having good wine and you can check out if that‘s true by visiting their wine bars where they also serve great sea food.
